Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of hospital experience to work in a Level III trauma center. The role requires floating between two hospital locations in CT and RI and licensure in both states where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5–2 years hospital CT experience.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications preferred.
• CT and RI state licenses required if applicable.
• GE and Siemens equipment experience required.
• Experience with 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement preferred.
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies.
• Exposure to aspiration, biopsies, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, drainage, and vascular CTA preferred.
• Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture.
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Level I/II trauma experience preferred.
• 1 professional reference required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Short term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds.
• Part of Yale New Haven Health System.
• Will float between two hospital locations in CT and RI, requiring licensure in both states.
• 5x8 hour Day shifts (8:30 AM-5:15 PM) or Evening shifts (2:45 PM-11:15 PM) as needed.
• Every weekend work required.
• Uses GE Optima CT660 scanners.
• Epic EMR used.
• Adult and pediatric outpatient, Emergency Department, and ICU patient populations.
• Performs Level I and Level II trauma imaging.
• Perform diagnostic CT imaging across multiple specialties including cardiac, vascular, and trauma studies.
• Candidates must be willing to float between facility locations as needed.
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted.
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only.
• Free parking available.
• Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the facility.
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler.
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved.
• First-time travelers will be considered with Level I trauma or relevant specialty experience.
