Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT registration and at least one year of Radiologic Technology experience for an overnight hospital imaging role.

The position requires ARRT Radiologic Technology registration, SC license if applicable, and BLS certification, with a 12-week contract and potential travel to sister facilities. You will operate in Cerner EMR within a hospital CT department.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology required; ARRT CT certification preferred.
• Active SC or compact Radiologic Technology license required if applicable.
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health program preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Computed Tomography program preferred.
• One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, and lift or move patients.
• Corrected hearing and vision to normal range required.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based CT department setting.
• Night shift schedule Monday through Thursday, 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
• 4x10 hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
• 12 week contract.
• Call requirements of one to two 16-24 hour shifts every 6 weeks.
• May require floating to a sister facility nearby.
• Uses Cerner EMR for charting.
• Perform CT scans of designated anatomical areas under physician direction to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Assist radiologists with procedures and supervise student Radiologic Technologists.
• Prepare and instruct patients on imaging procedures and assist with informed consent.
• Ensure accurate order entry, diagnosis, and clinical history documentation.
• Follow radiation safety practices in accordance with ALARA principles.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, and family members.
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate.
• Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital.
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year, followed by a required 30-60 day break before returning.
• Background check and drug screening results required at least 2 weeks prior to start, with drug screen completed within 24 hours of commitment.
