Job summary

The American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a Level I trauma and stroke-certified hospital in Allentown, PA. The role requires ARRT (CT) certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of CT experience. Epic charting and PACS experience are essential.

Work weekends, 2x12 hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. This 13-week assignment offers exposure to adult, pediatric, ICU, ED settings and a range of trauma CT studies.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT and BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience.
• Level I Trauma experience required.
• Epic charting system experience.
• License required if applicable.
• Skilled in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement.
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies.
• Experience with vascular CTA, brain perfusion, biopsies, and drainage procedures preferred.
• Proficient in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture.
• Must be able to work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday), 2x12 hour days from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• No on-call requirements
• Level I Trauma and stroke-certified facility
• Adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department settings
• Equipment includes GE 64 VCT/Lightspeed, GE 128 Revolution, Med Rad Injector, and Ulrich motion injector
• Uses PACS and Epic charting system
• First-time travelers accepted with 1 year of CT experience
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a differential rate
• RTO must be submitted and finalized prior to consideration
• Any scrub color accepted
• Perform CT imaging across a wide range of specialty and trauma studies in a high-acuity trauma center environment
