Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care setting in West Virginia. Requires 2+ years of CT experience, ARRT CT, BLS, EPIC EMR, and ability to start IVs. Position involves travel, with inpatient/outpatient coverage and a 36-hour weekly schedule on 12-hour shifts.

Day shifts vary; radiologist on-site 7am–7pm, with on-call hours. Local candidates must reside >50 miles away. Housing and licensure reimbursements offered by staffing agency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging in acute care for adults and pediatrics
• Operate Canon/Toshiba and Fuji Synaps imaging equipment
• Cover inpatient and outpatient CT shifts with travel requirements
• Report to Radiology Director/Manager, no lead tech
• Radiologist on-site 7am–7pm; on-call 7pm–7am
• Day shifts 7a-7:30p/8a-8:30p/8:30a-9p; 36 hours weekly on 12-hour shifts
• Occasional weekend coverage and holiday call
• Complete floor-specific orientation up to 2 weeks

Requirements

• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ARRT (CT) certification required, CT certification preferred
• WV state license required if applicable
• Must be able to start IVs
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must be able to perform CT exams across all departments and patient populations

Responsibilities

• Acute care radiology department performing CT imaging for both adult and pediatric patients
• EPIC EMR used, with Canon/Toshiba and Fuji Synaps imaging equipment
• 2 CT Techs cover inpatient, 1 covers outpatient
• No dedicated lead tech in the department; reports to Radiology Director/Manager
• Radiologist in-house 7am-7pm, on-call 7pm-7am
• Day shift schedule alternating M,T,W and W,Th,F with shift times of 7a-730p, 8a-830p, or 830a-9p
• 36 guaranteed hours per week over 12-hour shifts
• Call and holiday coverage required, with possible weekend coverage if needed to cover for a tech
• Floor-specific orientation generally up to 2 weeks depending on modality
• Perform CT imaging across all hospital areas for adult and pediatric patients
• Black scrubs required for all techs in all modalities
• Radiation badge provided by staffing agency, not facility
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Previous perm employees must have a 2-year break before returning as travelers
• Previous travelers who worked a full year must take a 2-year break before returning
• Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one year cumulatively without a 2-year break
