Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma Center in the Denver area. The role requires a minimum of 6 months of hospital CT experience, BLS, ARRT certification, and a state license if applicable.

Responsibilities include operating multiple GE CT scanners, documenting in Meditech EMR, and performing stroke/trauma imaging, CTA, and body studies. Shift details include day and night coverage; 13-week assignment with relocation support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months current hospital CT tech experience.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT (R) certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Trauma and stroke experience preferred.
• IV skills preferred.
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration.
• One professional reference required.

Responsibilities

• CT Scan department located on the 3rd floor of the main hospital building.
• Unit houses 3 CT scanners, soon to expand to 4.
• Staffed with 13 team members including 8 FT, 1 PT, 3 PRN, and 1 transporter.
• Day shift includes 1 charge tech, 4 day techs, 2 mid-shift techs, and 1 transporter Monday through Friday.
• Night shift staffed with 2 techs.
• Equipment includes GE Revolution 512 scanner, GE Evolution 128 scanner, GE 64 slice scanner in outpatient area, and a new 128 slice GE Frontier scanner.
• Meditech EMR used for charting.
• Typical procedures include stroke, trauma, head and chest imaging, abdomen/pelvis imaging, and CTA studies.
• Shift runs 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM including weekend coverage.
• 13-week assignment.
• Facility is a Comprehensive Stroke Center of Excellence and Level 1 Trauma Center.
• New 128 slice scanner installed in addition to existing 512 and 128 slice scanners.
• Ideal candidates have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a customer service focus.
• Must be able to multi-task, work independently, and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Located near Denver University and downtown Denver, with easy access to year-round mountain recreation.
• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius.
