Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma center in Columbus, OH. ARRT CT certification and radiography experience are required; BLS certification is needed, and OH state license if applicable.

The role covers adult acute care, ED and ICU patients, with 270–290 scans daily. You will operate GE/Toshiba/Canon CT systems, use EPIC for charting, and perform 3D rendering and post-processing in a fast-paced trauma setting.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration required; ARRT CT certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• OH state license required if applicable; pending license accepted.
• Minimum 2 years of experience, with less for Level I/II trauma experience.
• Experience with GE and/or Toshiba/Canon CT equipment.
• EPIC charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Level I Trauma center setting performing CT and radiography procedures.
• Covers adult acute care, ED, ICU, and trauma populations.
• Average volume of 270-290 scans per day.
• Performs head, neck, spine, musculoskeletal, chest, abdomen, pelvis, vascular, and cardiac CT studies including coronary CTA and calcium scoring.
• Uses GE and Toshiba/Canon CT equipment and PACS.
• Charts in EPIC EMR.
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Holidays assigned, with every other weekend and every other holiday required.
• On-call required as part of staff rotation.
• Travelers are first to float.
• Performs diagnostic CT and radiographic procedures following department and ARRT guidelines.
• Prepares patients for exams and ensures proper positioning per policy.
• Provides radiation safety for both patient and operator.
• Charcoal grey scrubs required.
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space, no pass required.
• Maximum 10 days RTO per contract, with no RTO allowed during initial weeks of assignment.
• More than one call-off may result in termination; no call/no show results in immediate termination.
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position.
• First-time travelers not considered for this role.

• Current BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• OH state license required if applicable; pending license accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience, with less considered for candidates with Level I or II trauma experience
• Large hospital or Level I/II trauma experience preferred
• Experience with GE and/or Toshiba/Canon CT equipment
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, venipuncture, radiation safety, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Must be comfortable with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and image post-processing
