Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT CT certification, with BLS. A Tennessee license is required if applicable.

Prior travel experience is preferred. Level I trauma experience is required; Level II and teaching hospital experience a plus. Responsibilities include CT imaging across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, and chest with and without contrast, plus advanced imaging and 3D

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience required, 3+ years preferred
• ARRT (CT) certification required; BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers not accepted unless 3+ years of recent specialty experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience required; Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency in contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture preferred
• Experience with special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, CTA studies, and PET CT preferred

Responsibilities

• Radiology/Cardiology CT department within an adult acute care, Emergency Department, ICU, and Level II Trauma Center setting
• 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, subject to change
• Performs CT imaging of abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest with and without contrast
• Advanced imaging including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurement
• Uses GE CT equipment and PACS system
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all fall within the assignment, or at least 1 of 2 if only two occur
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; RTO requested after an offer will not be honored
• Scrub and PPE/isolation precaution compliance required in clinical areas
