Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week day shift contract. ARRT and BLS certification are required, and MD license must be on hand if applicable. Prior travel experience and comfort with adult acute care and outpatient settings are essential.

The role involves 3x12 hour daytime shifts, contrast administration, IV starts, and musculoskeletal imaging. Familiarity with GE/Philips/Siemens/Toshiba systems and PACS is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT and BLS certification required.
• MD State license required in hand (license required if applicable).
• Minimum 2 years of recent CT experience within the last 7 years.
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Experience with adult acute care and adult outpatient populations.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based CT tech position in adult acute care and outpatient settings.
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Wednesday-Friday 10:30 AM-11:00 PM.
• Performs CT scans of abdomen, chest, and head with and/or without contrast.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and starts peripheral IVs.
• Handles musculoskeletal trauma imaging.
• Uses GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba equipment along with PACS.
• Weekly orientation begins 11/2 or 11/9.
• Flu vaccine required for all employees.
• Local candidates within 60 miles considered at a lower rate.
• RTO not permitted during the first two weeks of assignment, with a maximum of 7 days allowed per 13-week contract.
• Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler.
