American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Long Term Care facility in Missouri. The role requires prior LTC/SNF experience and an active OTA license (compact license accepted).

New grads with Level II fieldwork are welcome, and one professional reference is requested. The OTA will work day shifts, 8 hours, Monday through Friday, with no weekend work unless making up hours for a holiday.

Responsibilities

• Long term care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy unit
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with flexible start time between 6AM and 10AM as approved by the Director of Rehabilitation
• No weekend work required unless making up hours for a holiday falling during the work week
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment length
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions for patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Administer rehabilitation procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, and modalities
• Communicate with supervising Occupational Therapist regarding patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Document all treatment information and session minutes in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and other required facility meetings
• Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics standards
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted during the assignment
