Responsibilities

• Long Term Care (LTC) rehabilitative care setting
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment length
• Execute specialized therapy plans designed by the supervising OT to improve patient motor skills and coordination
• Train patients in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating using adaptive techniques
• Instruct patients and families on the use of adaptive equipment such as reachers and mobility aids
• Document patient progress and report findings to the supervising OT
• Provide emotional support to patients and train caregivers on home programs
• Prepare treatment areas and clean equipment, with possible administrative duties such as scheduling and billing
