American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13-week long-term care assignment in Sandwich, MA.

The role involves providing rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients under supervision of an Occupational Therapist, with day shifts and no weekend work. Applicants should have at least 1 year OTA experience, LTC or rehab setting exposure, and an active MA OTA license.

Formación

• New graduates considered if they completed Level II fieldwork experience.

Responsabilidades

• Long term care (LTC) facility setting within the Occupational Therapy unit
• 13-week assignment on day shift (8-hour shifts)
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Administer treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements
• Communicate with supervising Occupational Therapist regarding patient progress and treatment plan adjustments
• Participate in required facility meetings, trainings, and in-services
• May supervise and support OTA students under OT guidance
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed during the assignment
