American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant for a long-term care position in Texas. The role requires a TX or compact OTA license and at least 2 years of OTA experience in LTC. Day shifts, no weekends, and a supportive team environment.

You will execute therapy plans under the supervising OT, help patients with ADLs, train families on home programs, and document progress while maintaining safety standards. Housing and licensure reimbursements are available.

Responsibilities

• Execute specialized therapy plans designed by the supervising OT to improve patient motor skills and coordination
• Train patients in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating using adaptive techniques
• Instruct patients and families on use of adaptive equipment such as reachers and mobility aids
• Document patient progress, behavioral changes, and safety concerns for the supervising OT
• Provide emotional support to patients and train caregivers on home programs
• Prepare treatment areas and clean equipment as part of daily duties
• Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
