Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Mid Level Field Engineer for travel-based work in the Eastern District. You will support the construction of heavy civil projects including bridges, marine and waterfront infrastructure, with emphasis on safety and team collaboration.

You will interpret drawings, perform takeoffs, assist in surveys and generate reports, while coordinating with field crews, engineers, and subcontractors across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel and relocate as needed
• 3+ years of construction field experience
• Experience leading engineers
• Undergraduate civil engineering or construction management degree
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specs
• Able to access all points of a construction site in varied environments
• Strong work ethic and safety commitment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player who can work independently to meet deadlines
• Strong organization and time management

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specs for field crews.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and project measurements.
• Prepare work plans and packages.
• Assist in field surveying and layout support.
• Track daily labor timesheets and safety trainings.
• Coordinate material deliveries and jobsite scheduling.
• Supervise field operations and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Assist with change orders and as-built data.
