Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Civil Field Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of civil work across projects in the Eastern District. This role serves as the bridge between office and field, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and to project specifications.

You will assist with field operations, surveying, quantity tracking, subcontractor coordination, cost control, and project documentation while traveling extensively.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' construction field experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist in work packages.
• Assist in field surveying, layout support, and as-built data.
• Track daily labor timesheets and participate in safety reviews.
• Coordinate material deliveries and supervise field operations.
• Support office engineers with data for submittals and purchasing.
