Qualifications

  • Licensed CNA with active certification.
  • Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical CNA training.
  • Sincere desire to serve ill, aged and infirm.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Deal tactfully with residents, families, staff and visitors.
  • Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
  • Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm with residents.
  • In good health and emotionally stable.
  • Able to relate to and care for ill, disabled, elderly and upset residents.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
  • Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours.
  • Verify resident identity before care or food service.
  • Report missing ID bands to admissions staff.
  • Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
  • Ensure water pitchers are clean, filled, and reachable.
  • Other related duties as directed by supervisors.
