Job summary

The Medication Assistant (MA) at Good Samaritan serves as a caregiver who provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a charge nurse.

Knowledge of and delivery of age-appropriate care as per plan of care; may assist with transferring, feeding, and vital signs. Travel to support multiple locations within a 75-mile radius may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual continuing education credits as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications per state regulations as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks to support living areas and participate in wellness programs.
