Job summary

Good Samaritan in Ellis, KS is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a licensed nurse's supervision. The MA will monitor vital signs, assist with daily activities, and document care and medications per plan.

Requirements include 3 months of Long Term Care experience, high school diploma or GED preferred, and state CNA/CMA certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred).
• When applicable, state CNA/CMA certifications may be required and must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under supervision of a charge nurse.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated and document outcomes.
• Assist with daily living activities, grooming, bathing, and meal support.
• Collect vital signs, monitor changes, and communicate with the charge nurse.
