Job summary

Boyd Gaming is seeking a Travel Reservations Associate in Honolulu, Hawaii to assist travel agencies and customers with air, hotel, car, cruise, tours and meals. You will issue documents, reconcile cash and charge sales, and file related paperwork while providing friendly service by phone or in person.

The ideal candidate has some travel industry exposure, experience with the Sabre Travel Reservation system, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; travel industry schooling a plus.
• Sabre Travel Reservation system experience preferred.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and multi-task.

• Assist travel agencies and customers with travel reservations including air, hotel, car, cruise, tours and meals.

Job Description

Responsible for assisting travel agencies and customers with travel reservations and other accommodations including air, hotel, car, cruise, tours and meals. Issues documents, reconciles cash and charge sales, and files related documentation.

• Responsible for assisting travel agencies and customers with travel reservations and other accommodations including air, hotel, car, cruise, tours and meals.
• Responsible for issuing documents, reconciles cash and charge sales and files related documentation.
• Is knowledgeable of specific geographic areas and locations in order to best assist customers in planning their itineraries.
• Provides service and support to customers in need of alternative means of transportation during periodic delays and cancellations of their scheduled flights

Provides assistance to customers via phone reservations lines as well as in-person

Qualifications

• High School diploma and travel industry school completion a plus.
• Two (2) years of experience with the Sabre Travel Reservation system preferred.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
• Must know Excel
• Must be able to multi-task.
