Job summary

Brown & Brown, Inc. is seeking a Travel Claim Examiner & Customer Service Representative to be the first point of contact for reporting claims and initiating the claims process.

You will gather information, assess coverage, and communicate findings to claimants, delivering white-glove service. The role requires independent judgment, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

  • Independently process travel claims in accordance with policies.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and regulations.
  • Handle calls to claimants and suppliers in a professional manner.
  • Meet established performance standards for claims processing.
  • Maintain knowledge of Plans and apply to claim payments and customer service.
  • Function independently within guidelines and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Job description

As a Travel Claim Examiner & Customer Service Representative, you will serve as the first point of contact for reporting claims and initiating the claims process. This vital frontline role within our Travel department plays a key part in delivering on our commitment to providing exceptional, white-glove service to claimants and callers. Utilizing your independent judgment and strong communication skills, you will gather essential information, assess coverage eligibility, and effectively communicate findings to claimants, ensuring a seamless and professional experience.

Your Impact
  • Independently process travel claims in accordance with associated policies
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials, technical procedures, benefit plans and regulations
  • Handle incoming calls from and make outgoing calls to claimants and suppliers in a professional, positive, and proactive manner
  • Consistently meet established performance standards, including quantity and quality claims processing standards
  • Maintain current knowledge of Plans and effectively apply this knowledge to the payment of claims, customer service, and all other job functions
  • Ability to function independently within established guidelines
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance

Pay Range $16.00 - $21.00 Hourly The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
