Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is hiring an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations of travel plazas. You will lead shifts, oversee guest services, and ensure compliance with brand standards across food and retail operations.

This role emphasizes strong leadership, hands-on supervision, and budget-aware decision-making to deliver great guest experiences while fostering team development and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management abilities.
• Excellent customer service and positive attitude.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic food safety understanding.
• Ability to lift/push up to 30 lbs.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, and communicate business objectives to staff.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and coach shifts supervisors for store performance.
• Step in when the general manager is absent and maintain flow of operations.
• Motivate staff during challenging times to maintain service quality.
• Ensure brand standards and policies are consistently followed.
• Maintain cash handling accuracy and daily reporting as directed.
