American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist to join a busy invasive cardiology unit with 4 dedicated Cath Labs and 3 EP labs. The role requires 2+ years of experience, EPIC charting proficiency, and clearance in ACLS/BLS, with no weekends or on-call duties in the schedule.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, sterile technique, patient monitoring, and assisting in complex procedures such as ablations, TAVR-related tasks, and pacemaker placements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in Cath Lab/EP environment.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment experience.
• EKG lead placement and vascular access skills.
• Experience with arrhythmia induction, ablation, and pacemaker procedures.
• Proficient sterile technique and life-threatening arrhythmia recognition.

Responsibilities

• Support invasive cardiology unit with cath labs and EP labs.
• Prepare and monitor patients, set up equipment, and maintain sterile field.
• Assist with complex procedures including ablations, pacemakers, and ICDs.
• Ensure EPIC charting accuracy and complete documentation.
• Monitor for complications and respond to emergent situations.
• May require staying late to care for last patient.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a busy invasive cardiology unit requiring 2+ years of experience and EPIC charting proficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certification (License required if applicable)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience with fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment
• Skilled in EKG lead placement, access site prep, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Experience with electrophysiology studies including arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, conduction studies, AICD insertion/programming, LAA closure, and pacemaker insertion
• Proficient in sterile technique and maintaining a sterile field
• Able to recognize life‑threatening arrhythmias and respond appropriately

Responsibilities

• Work in an Invasive Cardiology unit with 4 dedicated Cath Labs, 3 dedicated EP labs, and 2 shared cath/EP labs with 33 prep/recovery bays
• Unit completes over 6,000 procedures annually including complex coronary procedures, VAD/ECMO, structural heart procedures (TAVR, LAA occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping), complex atrial and ventricular ablations, pacemaker/ICD implants, cardioversion, pulmonary artery pressure sensor implantation, and peripheral intervention
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekends, call, or holidays required
• Must be available to stay until the last patient is cared for
• Floating as needed
• EPIC experience required
• Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, equipment setup, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain sterile field
• May involve caring for COVID‑positive patients
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Maximum RTO of 7 days
• First‑time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates accepted
