American Traveler is seeking an Electrophysiology Tech for a Magnet-designated, Level III trauma teaching hospital in Minnesota. The role requires 1–2 years of EP experience and BLS/ACLS certification, with travel-enabled flexibility.

You will support EP procedures, monitor patients, and assist with lab circulation and scrub duties, using Affera PFA systems and Biosense Webster RFA, while collaborating with a teaching team across shifts.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Electrophysiology experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Experience with EP studies, ablation, pacemaker insertion, and AICD programming preferred

Responsibilities

• Electrophysiology Lab setting within a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Thursday
• Will work every 5th weekend
• On-call 4 hours at end of shift once per week
• May float within hospital or to affiliate hospital as needed
• Responsibilities include procedural support, patient monitoring, and EP lab circulation/scrubbing

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an Electrophysiology Tech for a Magnet-designated, Level III trauma teaching hospital, requiring 1-2 years of EP experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in Electrophysiology required
• Community hospital experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required
• ARRT R, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, and Fluoro Permit preferred
• License required if applicable
• Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred
• Experience with EKG lead placement, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulation, and maintaining sterile field while scrubbed
• Experience with EP studies, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, conduction studies, AICD insertion/programming, and pacemaker insertion
• LAA closure experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Electrophysiology Lab setting within a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level III trauma designation
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday
• Will work every 5th weekend
• On-call requirement of short call (4 hours at the end of a shift) once per week
• May float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby to meet facility needs
• Uses primarily Affera PFA systems and Biosense Webster RFA
• Epic/Excellian charting system
• Responsibilities include procedural support, accurate patient monitoring, and EP lab circulating and scrubbing duties
• Scrubs provided by the unit
• First-time travelers accepted
• Open to accommodating block scheduling
• Local candidates accepted only for radiology positions; all other positions require candidates to live at least 100 miles from the facility
• Returning staff must have at least 3 months since their last shift worked in a perm (staff or per diem) role
• RTO ideally should not exceed 5 days during the assignment
