Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care Cardiac Cath Lab. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of Cath Lab experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

This role requires scrub, circulate, and monitor of complex cases, with expertise in EPIC charting and related imaging systems. Shifts are 4x10 hours, with on-call duties and potential mandate shifts.

ACLS and BLS certification required (AHA)
RCIS/RCES certification preferred, license if applicable, EPIC charting experience required

Responsibilities

Level 1 trauma acute care Cardiac Cath Lab with multiple rooms.
Scrub, circulate, and monitor peripheral/vascular, right/left heart caths, and EP cases.
Operate EPIC EMR with XIM, Pyxis, Xcelera, and Siemens/Philips fluoro systems.
Work 4x10 hour shifts with varying start times (0530-1600 to 0730-1800).
On-call: 1 call per week and 1 call weekend every 3-4 weeks, 30-min response.
May be placed on mandate list to fill unclaimed shifts; on-call every other weekend if needed.
No floating to other units; orientation focuses on monitoring in XIM and scrubbing/circulating.
8 hours of orientation provided; Blue scrubs provided; badge in/out required.
Candidates with prior employment at this health system must disclose and have end date > 6 months prior.
Accepts local candidates within an 80-mile radius

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care Cardiac Cath Lab, requiring 2+ years of experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

Requirements

Minimum of 2-3 years of Cath Lab experience required
RCIS or RCES certification preferred
License required if applicable
Experience with EPIC charting system

Responsibilities

Level 1 trauma acute care setting in a Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 8 fluoro rooms and 1 minimally invasive room without fluoro
Scrub, circulate, and monitor peripheral/vascular cases, right and left heart caths, and EP cases, with possible device scrubbing
Uses EPIC EMR along with XIM (Philips/Witt charting), Pyxis, Xcelera, and Siemens/Philips fluoro systems
4x10 hour shifts with varying start times (0530-1600, 0630-1700, 0730-1800)
Required to work Christmas Eve coverage
On-call responsibilities include 1 call per week and 1 call weekend every 3-4 weeks with a 30-minute response time
May be placed on mandate list to fill unclaimed call shifts
On-call every other weekend if needed
No floating to other units
Orientation will focus on monitoring in XIM and effective scrubbing/circulating skills
8 hours of orientation provided
Ceil Blue scrubs provided
Must badge in and out at the facility
