Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care facility in Peoria, IL. Requires 2+ years cath lab experience, ARRT and BLS certifications, IEMA certification, and IL license if applicable.

Expected duties include scrubbing, monitoring hemodynamics, and circulating during procedures. Shifts are 9 hours with weekends/holidays rotation and on-call duties; scrubs provided and orientation is 3–5 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years cath lab experience required.
• ARRT and BLS certifications required.
• IEMA certification required.
• Active IL license required if applicable.
• Prior pediatric cath lab experience is a plus but not required.
• McKesson cardiology PACS experience preferred but not required.
• Must scrub, monitor hemodynamics, and circulate during procedures.
• Negative drug screen required for all panels.

Responsibilities

• Acute care Level 1 trauma cath lab with 6 suites/labs.
• Perform an average of 10 to 15 cases per day.
• Cath lab operates separately from IR and EP units.
• Utilize EPIC EMR, PACS, and McKesson cardiology systems.
• 9-hour day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
• On-call duties on a rotational basis (approx. 8–9 shifts/month) with 30-minute response time.
• Techs are not required to float currently.
• Primary charge nurse handles 0600–1530 schedule and on-call.
• Scrubs provided by the hospital.
• Unit orientation typically 3–5 days.
• Mandatory call list used when staff cannot fulfill calls.
• Cardiologists on call 24/7/365.
• Local candidates accepted; local rate available within 50 miles.
