Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital. Requires 1 year Cath Lab experience, peripheral angiogram/run-off skills, BLS/ACLS, and ARRT-R or RCIS certification. EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Position includes 4x10 hour days (0730-1800), on-call rotations, and a comprehensive benefits package. Must reside 50 miles+ from the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Cath Lab experience required.
• Must have peripheral angiogram/run-off experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• ARRT-R or RCIS certification required.
• License required if applicable
• Must reside at least 50 miles outside of the facility to be eligible
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required
• Minimum of 1 professional reference within the last year from supervisor/manager/director/charge RN

Responsibilities

• Maintain a Cath Lab workflow across 4 cardiac rooms and 3 vascular rooms.
• Perform cardiac cases including NON-STEMI, STEMI, TAVR, Watchman and Mitral Clip procedures.
• Handle vascular cases such as lower extremity angiograms, EVAR and TEVAR.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for charting and monitor with Philips equipment.
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage as assigned
• Support a Magnet-designated Level I Trauma teaching hospital with Chest Pain and Stroke Centers

• Uses Merge Hemo hemodynamic system, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors, Philips/GE/Siemens X-ray equipment, ISCV PACS, and manifold equipment
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 0730-1800 on a 4-week schedule cycle
• Weekend rotation discussed during interview, occurring approximately every 4-5 weeks
• On-call requirements vary by track: Vascular call includes two weekends per month and two weekday calls with a 1-hour response time; Cardiac call includes one night per week and every 5th weekend with a 30-minute response time
• No floating required
• At least one holiday coverage required per contract if applicable

• Lab team includes a traffic flow coordinator for add-on scheduling and staffing, charge nurse, VAD team, RT for emergencies, ECMO team, and code team support
• Facility is a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center
• Orientation includes 1 week before taking call, 2 days of departmental orientation, ACE modules, and EPIC testing and modules

• Travelers cover each other's RTO, which may result in additional call responsibilities during others' time off
• RTO requests subject to manager approval
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
