American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care facility in Rockford, IL. You’ll scrub, monitor and circulate in a busy cath lab with six labs and about 18 cases daily, focusing on high-risk coronary and neuro cases.

Requirements include 3+ years cath lab experience, ARRT(R) credential, active state license, and BLS/ACLS. Epic EMR and McKesson equipment experience are preferred; call coverage and travel considerations apply.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, monitor, and circulate in an acute care Level 1 trauma cardiac cath lab.
• Handle 6 labs with an average of 18 cases per day; coronary and neuro focus.
• Provide 24/7 cardiologist coverage with on-site supervisor during operating hours.
• Use Epic EMR and McKesson equipment; may float to EP/IR units as needed.
• Schedule: 5 shifts of 8 hours; call includes weekends and holidays; 30-minute call response.

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 3 years of cath lab experience, including STEMI and neuro interventional cases, for a Level 1 trauma acute care facility.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years cath lab experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
• ARRT certification with Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) credential required
• Experience scrubbing and circulating high-risk coronary interventions and STEMI cases required
• Must be willing to learn circulating/monitoring for neuro interventional cases for call coverage
• Active state license required for consideration, if applicable
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Acute care Level 1 trauma cardiac cath lab setting with 6 suites/labs
• Average of 18 cases per day
• Patient population includes coronary and neuro diagnoses, with a focus on high-risk coronary cases
• Job duties include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating
• Uses Epic EMR and McKesson equipment
• Cardiologist coverage is 24/7 with a supervisor/charge available during operating hours (0600-1630 M-F)
• Schedule consists of 5 shifts of 8 hours per week, with 0700 or 0830 start times as assigned
• Call requirements include 4 weekends (Sat/Sun) within the 13-week assignment and holiday call
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• May float to EP/IR units as needed
• Responsibilities include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating for cardiac and neuro interventional cases
• Unit-specific orientation consists of 5 shifts during the first week
• Scrubs are provided
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are eligible for a local rate
• No radius restriction applies to eligibility for this position
• COVID vaccination is not required for this facility
• A negative drug screen for all panels is required
