Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week assignment supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Responsibilities include setup, monitoring, sterile technique, and occasional on-call obligations in a high-paced lab environment.

The role requires 1 year in Cath Lab/EP Tech, BLS, and relevant licenses. Travel candidates within 75 miles gain lower bill rate; includes housing allowance and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Cath Lab / EP Tech role.
• Current BLS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Trauma Level II hospital experience preferred.
• Experience with EP studies including cardiac ablation, mapping, conduction studies, and electrophysiology evaluation preferred.
• Experience with cardiac cath procedures such as diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Familiarity with TAVR and Watchman procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper PPE use.
• PACS system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic and interventional Cardiac Cath Lab as well as an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab.
• Adult patient population with a 1:1 patient ratio.
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Cerner charting system experience preferred.
• Call requirement of 2 nights weekly except during weekend call.
• Weekend call rotation of every third weekend.
• Responsibilities include equipment setup, accurate monitoring, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing in.
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Maintain and stock equipment and supplies as part of daily duties.
• Accepts local candidates within a 75-mile radius at a lower bill rate.
