Hawthorne Health is seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers for a per diem, independent contractor role. You will travel regionally to patient homes to perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging, setting up portable equipment and ensuring protocol adherence.

Per visit compensation ranges from $450 to $600, with travel expenses reimbursed. You will provide preliminary reports and maintain ASE standards while working autonomously in non-traditional environments.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging (e.g., RDCS or RCS with RVT or RVS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel regionally.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; tech savvy with digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic field environments and good time management.

Responsabilités

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes for visits; volume varies by region.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards per ASE guidelines.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed.
