Job summary

TotalMed RN in Newburgh, IN is seeking a Travel RN for the Cardiac Stepdown PCU. Targeted 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights. Immediate start for an RN with 1–2 years of acute care experience.

As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will monitor cardiac patients, operate telemetry and IV therapies, and provide bedside care with a focus on patient stability and safety in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required; 2 years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays for patient status.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data and symptoms.
