Job summary

TotalMed RN in Arlington, VA is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for the Cardiac Stepdown unit (PCU). This 13-week assignment requires 48 hours per week, 12-hour nights, and a travel employment type. Start ASAP with 1–2 years of acute care experience preferred.

The PCU RN provides bedside care, monitors cardiac patients, changes dressings, starts IVs, administers medications, and interprets monitors. Knowledge of telemetry and rapid assessment is essential.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• At least 2 years of acute care experience.
• Travel nurse willing to commit to a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
