Job summary

TotalMed RN in Denton, TX is seeking an experienced Travel PCU RN for a 13-week assignment. Start ASAP, 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights, in a fast-paced progressive care unit with acute care responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience, ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications, and a ready-to-deploy attitude. This travel role includes a tax-free stipend and weekly pay through TotalMed RN’s travel program.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required.
• 1 year of acute care or travel nurse experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs as needed.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications with documentation of any adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust monitoring equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data and patient status.
