Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Charlottesville, Virginia. You will work a 12-hour night shift on a PCU/stepdown unit, with a 36-hour per week schedule across a 13-week contract.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience and current BLS/ACLS certifications. Prior PCU or stepdown exposure is preferred, and the role requires strong monitoring and bedside skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience
• BLS and ACLS required

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret displays
• Record monitoring data and report adverse events
