Job summary

TotalMed RN in Columbia, SC is seeking a Travel RN for the Cardiac Stepdown unit (PCU) for a 13-week assignment. The role requires RN licensure, 1-2 years of acute care experience, and 12-hour nights, with a 36-hour work week.

The PCU nurse will monitor cardiac patients, manage meds and IVs, perform dressing changes, and respond to changes in patient status. Travel benefits include weekly pay and guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in SC or a valid compact state
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience
• ACLS and BLS certification required before assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust monitoring equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
