TotalMed RN in Columbia, SC is seeking a travel nurse RN for Cardiac Stepdown (PCU) to support a 13-week assignment. Shifts are 12 hours, nights, with 36 hours per week.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years acute care experience, ACLS/BLS certifications, and the ability to monitor cardiac patients, administer medications, and collaborate with a fast-paced team. The role offers weekly pay, tax-free stipends, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Travel nurse assignment; 13-week duration and 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret and record displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
