Job summary

Inter Technologies Corporation in Charlotte, NC seeks a Travel AV Technician to install and service AV and low-voltage systems in commercial environments. The role requires construction labor, telecom experience, and AV know-how, with up to 25–50% travel across US states. The position is full-time, hourly, with pay scale $20–$28 per hour.

You will read blueprints, mount displays, run cabling, test systems, and support project teams on-site, while upholding safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• CTS certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Prior AV experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including short notice.
• Must pass criminal background check, MVR, and drug screening.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and complete safety training.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than two citations in the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute installation, integration, and servicing of AV and low-voltage systems.
• Read drawings, install cable trays, mounts, and raceways.
• Pull, label, route, and terminate structured cabling.
• Coordinate with project managers and contractors.
• Maintain OSHA safety and report jobsite progress.
