Job summary

Inter Technologies Corporation is seeking an AV Technician to install and test audio-visual systems across job sites nationwide, with extensive travel. You will receive, inventory, assemble and install equipment, wire and terminate cables, and support project teams under supervision.

The role requires hands-on construction experience, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and compliance with safety standards; CTS certifications are encouraged and travel is core to the position.

Qualifications

• Prior AV experience.
• CTS certification or the ability to achieve certification within six months of start date.
• CTS-I certification after CTS.
• Willingness to travel regularly with long/unusual work hours.
• Pass criminal background check, motor vehicle review and drug test.
• Strong communication skills and experience working on teams.
• Computer proficiency with Google, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with hand tools, small power tools and industrial tools.
• Ability to learn new tasks quickly.
• Ability to make decisions under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving and time management skills.
• Friendly and approachable.
• Valid driver’s license with few citations in last two years and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and complete safety training.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inventory, assemble, install, commission and test AV equipment with minimal supervision.
• Install and terminate cables with appropriate connectors.
• Travel to job sites across the country and work in varied environments.
• Perform construction tasks including drilling and light construction.
• Mentor and guide other installers and technicians.
• Adhere to safety, quality and environmental policies.
