Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Trauma Registrar to manage high-quality data collection for the Trauma Registry. You will coordinate daily data capture, verify completeness before NYS DOH/NTDB submissions, and support ACS verification and NYS DOH designation for the trauma program.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork within the UHS Emergency and Trauma Services. A rotational 40-hour work week and competitive hourly pay reflect experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Health Information Management or allied health field is required.
• Must complete ATS/trauma registrar class within 12 months of hire.
• Must complete AIS 15 coding course within 12 months of hire.
• Must have completed a trauma ICD-10 course in last 5 years or within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day data collection for the Trauma Registry.
• Verify data completeness prior to submission to NYS DOH and NTDB.
• Assist in achieving ACS verification and NYS DOH designation for the trauma center.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in trauma-related matters.
