Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) in New York's Southern Tier seeks a Trauma Registrar to manage high-quality trauma data entry into the registry. You will coordinate daily data collection and ensure data completeness before submitting to the NYS DOH and NTDB, supporting ACS verification and NYS DOH designation.

Role requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and teamwork. The position is 40 hours weekly with a rotating shift, offering comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within UHS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or allied health field required.
• Must complete ATS or similar trauma registrar class within 12 months of hire.
• Must complete AIS 15 coding course within 12 months of hire.
• Must have completed trauma-specific ICD-10 course within 5 years or 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day data collection for the Trauma Registry.
• Verify data completeness prior to submission to NYS DOH and NTDB.
• Ensure registry meets requirements for ACS verification and NYS DOH designation.
