Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Trauma Registrar to ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of the UH trauma registry across UH system hospitals, supporting the CMC Adult Trauma Center. You will abstract data, assign codes, and prepare reports for state and national databases, while ensuring HIPAA and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include billing coordination, data reporting, and participation in outreach events.

Qualifications

• Experience with medical records and trauma registry methodology.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
• Proficiency with MS Office and trauma data software.
• Experience abstracting data from charts and coding (ICD-9/10).

Responsibilities

• Collect data, enter and maintain the UH trauma registry database.
• Abstract data from charts and assign E-codes, ISS, AIS and ICD-10.
• Prepare quarterly trauma data reports and assist with NTDB submissions.
• Ensure compliance with Ohio trauma regulations and reporting.
• Coordinate trauma center billing and track revenues; manage accounts payable and supplies.
• Support sponsored outreach events and staff education on trauma topics.
