Job Title: Trauma Registrar
Location: Remote (United State)
Duration: 3+ Months Possible Contract (Possible Conversion)

Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Trauma Registrar to support the Trauma Services team. This is a remote, contract position requiring expertise in EPIC EMR, Trauma One Registry, and trauma coding standards (ICD-10, AIS08, AIS15).

Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyze, and input trauma patient data into the Trauma One Registry.
• Ensure accurate and timely data abstraction for trauma accreditation and compliance.
• Apply ICD-10, AIS08, and AIS15 trauma coding to cases.
• Maintain compliance with state and national trauma registry guidelines.
• Collaborate with the trauma team on performance improvement initiatives.

Skills:

• Required Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of business support and systems concepts. Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including the ability to express basic technical and business concepts to management, peers, and the business units. Good teamwork and interpersonal skills. Good analytical and conceptual skills. Fundamental understanding of user acceptance test plans and test matrices, project plans, and scope and design documents. Working knowledge and understanding of how projects and implementations affect an organization and can effectively link it to business processes. Working knowledge of mainframe electronic data processing system change methodology

Required Software and Tools: Recent experience with EPIC EMR and Trauma One Registry required.

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, AIS08, and AIS15 trauma coding required.
• Experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining productivity.
• Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries (CSTR) certification preferred.

Education:
Required Education Level and Degree Type: High School Diploma OR Above
Experience: Minimum 1 year of Trauma Registrar experience.
