Position Summary – Remote Trauma Registrar - Part Time

Position Duties

• Abstracting trauma data

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years’ experience as a Trauma Registrar/Abstractor
• Experience with Level 1 or 2 Trauma Centers
• 1 year in Health Information Management
• Experience with ICD 10 data abstractor system
• Training in AIS 15 Course and Trauma Registry Course
• Experience with EMR/Registries in DI or CDM (trauma)
• Proficiency with Meditech Expanse, Epic, or Cerner EMR systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Coding or Health Registry abstraction experience
• Certification in CSTR or CAISS
• Associate or Bachelor degree or completion of a certified coding program
• RHIA, RHIT, CSS, LVN, or RN certification

Additional Details

• Assignment Duration: 6 months
• Part-Time, flexible hours, training during normal business hours
• Start Date: 6/9/2025
