The Trauma Registrar is responsible for collecting, completing, and verifying the accuracy of patient data from the Trauma Registry system. This role supports quality assurance and improvement efforts by creating and maintaining clinical and statistical data, including AIS coding and abstracting data elements as required by the American College of Surgeons, the National Trauma Data Bank, the Trauma Program, and DRMC Hospital. The Registrar provides data and statistical reports to the Trauma Coordinator monthly and upon request. Additionally, the Registrar may assist with trauma outreach efforts as time permits. The position reports directly to the Trauma Coordinator and adheres to trauma registry standards.
