OU Health is seeking a Trauma Registrar to analyze data within medical records and trauma care reports. Trauma Program
The Trauma Registrar is responsible for reviewing and analyzing data within the medical record and trauma care reports to ensure comprehensive quality care and identify performance gaps.
This position may be performed remotely from the following locations within the United States: Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management required; equivalent education or experience in coding, abstracting, or emergency room activities may be considered.
Experience: At least one year of trauma registrar experience for fully remote positions.
Certifications: Must attend or have attended within 2 years of hire: American Trauma Society’s Trauma Registrar Course or equivalent, Injury Scaling Course by the Association of the Advancement of Automotive Medicine, and ICD-10 Coding Course. ICD-10 Coding Course renewal every 5 years beginning September 2023.
