Banner Health seeks a RN Quality Specialist to oversee the trauma PI program, coordinating performance improvement and patient safety activities across care teams. The role collaborates with trauma leadership to monitor data, implement initiatives, and drive outcomes that align with Banner Health standards.

The position supports system-wide quality programs, collects and analyzes data, and communicates results to hospital leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in nursing or healthcare field.
• RN license in state worked or a clinical background with current license/certification.
• Five years acute care clinical experience.
• Ability to perform complex statistical analysis and highly developed problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage programs and projects.
• Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate investigation, analysis, and responses to quality/patient safety issues and trends.
• Develop and analyze data for administrative and clinical decisions; provide reports and benchmarking.
• Lead facilities task forces to plan and coordinate quality and patient safety initiatives.
• Support implementation of regulatory/accreditation goals and compliance programs.
• Act as consultant and educator in program development and special projects.
• Participate in evidence-based practice implementation at facility or system level.
• Coordinate peer review activities for physicians and other providers as needed.
• In some roles, supervise professional staff.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and implement process improvements and safety programs.
