Job summary

USA Health Systems in Alabama seeks an experienced RN leader to drive trauma quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within the Trauma program.

The role focuses on leading PI teams, analyzing trauma data, and collaborating with physicians, nursing, and staff to implement evidence-based care. Eligible candidates hold a nursing degree with ACS trauma center exposure and state licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing from an accredited institution and 5 years of acute care trauma-related nursing experience required.
• Master's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Experience in an ACS-verified trauma center preferred.
• Experience with PIPS, NTDB/TQIP benchmarking, trauma registry methodology, regulatory surveys, TNCC, Lean/Six Sigma preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama Required.
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leads performance improvement teams with lean principles and the science of improvement.
• Coordinates trauma performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Analyzes trauma data and dashboards to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborates with trauma leadership, physicians, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure evidence-based care.
• Facilitates Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles for rapid-test changes.
• Maintains knowledge of Joint Commission/CMS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Presents findings to committees and executive leadership.
