Job summary

University Health is seeking a Senior Trauma Outcomes Coordinator with a strong background in trauma nursing, performance improvement, and patient safety. The position requires RN licensure in Texas, 3+ years in trauma PI, ED/CCU trauma experience, BLS, TNCC/TOPIC, and ongoing professional certifications, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and current RN license in Texas or reciprocity.
• 3+ years of Trauma PI experience, including work with an ACS Verified trauma program.
• Experience as an RN in Emergency Department or Critical Care with trauma patients.
• BLS certification.
• TNCC Provider within 12 months of hire and TOPIC training.
• TCAR or PCAR within 12 months of hire.
• Professional certification (CEN, CCRN, or TCRN) within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the trauma quality program to promote optimal and efficient trauma care across the continuum.
• Analyze information to develop or modify PI initiatives.
• Create customized reports based on data analyses for dissemination.
• Utilize state and national benchmarks to determine trauma care standards.
• Provide training and supervision for new Trauma Outcomes Coordinators.
• Facilitate/process improvement efforts as needed.
