Job summary

Medical City Plano is seeking an RN Trauma PI Coordinator to lead the Trauma Program’s quality improvement efforts from admission to discharge. You will review cases with the Trauma Medical Director, analyze performance data, and drive changes that improve patient safety and align with ACS standards.

The role requires an RN license, a Bachelor’s degree, TNCC certification (or TNCC instructor) within 30 days, and at least four years of trauma experience.

Qualifications

• RN registered nurse with current license.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• TNCC certification or TNCC instructor credential within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum 4 years of trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Review trauma cases in real time and retrospectively to assess quality and adherence to ACS standards.
• Identify performance-improvement opportunities and support action plans for closed-loop improvements.
• Coordinate and document Trauma PI activities, events, data elements, and registry information.
• Prepare and present cases, trends, and quality findings at multidisciplinary meetings.
• Educate clinical teams, EMS, residents, and facilities on trauma PI principles and best practices.
• Collaborate on guideline development, verification preparation, and ongoing trauma service improvements.
