Job summary

Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas is seeking an RN Trauma PI Coordinator to lead the Trauma Program, review cases, analyze performance, and apply data to improve patient care. You will work with the Trauma Medical Director and program leadership to ensure ACS standards compliance and high-quality trauma care.

Your role includes case reviews, defining improvement opportunities, and documenting PI activities. Collaboration with clinical teams ensures effective implementation and ongoing trauma service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, leadership, and experience.
• Current RN Licensure in the State of Nevada.
• Two to three years of nursing experience in surgical/critical care or emergency department, with increasing responsibility and interest in trauma care; experience with database management.
• Computer skills including Windows, MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
• One year experience with a trauma registry database; NTRACS preferred; AAAM injury scoring certification or training.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analyzing trauma cases in real time and retrospectively to assess quality and adherence to guidelines.
• Identify and validate performance-improvement opportunities and action plans for improvements.
• Coordinate and document Trauma PIPS activities, PI events, data elements, and registry information.
• Prepare and present cases, trends, and quality findings for PI and trauma meetings.
• Educate clinical teams and EMS agencies on trauma PI principles and best practices.
• Collaborate on guideline development and ongoing improvements across the trauma service line.
