Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking an RN Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator to lead the Trauma Program’s work, review cases, and drive data-driven improvements for safe, high-quality care from admission to discharge.

You will collaborate with leaders to ensure ACS standards are met, document PI activities, and present trends at multidisciplinary meetings, while educating teams and EMS partners on PI principles.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse licensure required.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree required.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or PALS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Level II Trauma Center experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Trauma Program work to keep care safe and high quality from arrival to discharge.
• Review cases, analyze performance, and use data to improve patient care.
• Ensure care meets ACS standards and supports trauma center verification.
• Coordinate and document PI events, data elements, and registry information.
• Prepare and present cases and trends for PI and operations meetings.
• Educate clinical teams and collaborating facilities on PI principles and guidelines.
