Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator to lead the hospital's trauma performance improvement program.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, collect and analyze data, and benchmark outcomes to meet accreditation standards. The role requires a RN license, BLS/ACLS/TNCC/PALS, a BSN, and at least three years of trauma experience with ACS and QA process familiarity.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid state Registered Nurse License.
  • BLS certificate current upon hire.
  • ACLS certificate current upon hire.
  • TNCC certificate within 30 days upon hire.
  • PALS certificate current upon hire.
  • BSN degree required.
  • Experience with Trauma Accreditation Process (ACS) preferred.
  • Experience with Quality Improvement Process preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years trauma experience.
  • Trauma registration certification within three (3) years of hire (CSTR or CAISS).

Responsibilities

The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator works in collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director (TMD) and the Trauma Program Manager (TPM) to improve the quality of trauma care encompassing all areas and disciplines of the hospital that participate in the manage and care of injured patients. The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator is responsible for coordination and facilitation of the multidisciplinary trauma performance improvement program including data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of date and outcomes while maintaining confidentiality, meeting Los Angeles County and American College of Surgeons standards, complying with all state and federal regulations, complying with corporate hospital policies and procedures, managing patient information and promoting teamwork and positive customer service.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state Registered Nurse License.

2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3. Current ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

4. Current TNCC certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

5. Current PALS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

6. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) required.

7. Previous experience with Trauma Accreditation Process (ACS) preferred.

8. Previous experience with Quality Improvement Process preferred.

9. Minimum of three (3) years trauma experience.

10. Trauma registration certification within three (3) years of hire (CSTR or CAISS).

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $46.43 to $66.14. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
